Sheldon Cooper is inching one step closer to being like his idols from the "Star Trek" franchise. On "The Tonight Show," Jim Parsons talked about how she handles it when he can't make it home for the holidays. She simply replaces him with a life-size cardboard cutout of him. Sheldon would be thrilled.
Parsons, on the other hand, not so much. "It's the creepiest thing I've ever seen," he said. "I can't tell you how it satiated them for their desire to see me. And I was pleasant the whole time, you know? Not a bickering word."
He even had pictures that the family took of themselves posing with the cardboard cutout.
"They were just thrilled to have me," he quipped.
All it needs is an audio feature that allows him to say some of his best lines from "The Big Bang Theory." Okay, that version may be more for fans of the show, as his mother may not want him saying, "Bazinga!" at the dinner table.
Catch Jim Parsons on "The Big Bang Theory," Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. "The Tonight Show" is on every weeknight at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.
