Ain't no party like a Taylor Gang party. On Monday night, Wiz Khalifa and his TGOD crew proved it when they hit New York City to unveil the Pixburgh star's upcoming O.N.I.F.C. LP for selected media and industry players before it hits stores on December 4.
Khalifa wasted no time. In fact, the Kush and Orange Juice MC and his Gang where already well-situated at a table with bottles of gin and tons of smoke as the crowd filed into the Westway strip club shortly after 7 p.m. "I've been hearing people are excited about this project, I'm super-excited about it," Khalifa told the crowd before he cued DJ Bonics to drop O.N.I.F.C.'s mellowed-out intro track.
To mark the occasion, three bikini-clad ladies took the stage painted as a zebra, a tiger and a cheetah grinding to the new tunes. There was "Bluffin'" featuring one of TG's newest additions, Berner, and "The Plan" with Juicy J. Chevy Woods shows up on the weed-inspired "Medicated" and Akon lends his vocals to the pounding "Let It Go."
The crowd cheered in approval of the 17-track album, which sonically resembled Wiz's Kush and Orange Juice and Taylor Allderdice mixtapes and though Khalifa and company filed out around 10 p.m. the TG Captain's night didn't end there.
To further build excitement for his sophomore set, he released the music video for "The Bluff" featuring Cam'ron. In the laid-back clip, Wiz takes a trip to Cam's native Harlem and together they traded bars on the stoop about their champagne lifestyles and bubbling bank accounts. "I'm Killa, he's Wiz but all our checks say Cameron," the Dipset OG spits reminding listeners that despite their respective rap monikers he and Khalifa share the same birth name.
By the end of the video, the "Black and Yellow" MC is seated at a table with his feet up, shooting crumbled-up hundred-dollar bills into a waste paper basket. Judging from the sound of O.N.I.F.C., after December 4, Wiz Khalifa will have a little more money to throw around.
