Kate Walsh was talking on "Conan" about the end of her character's on-screen life as "Private Practice" is winding down. When Conan O'Brien asked her how she thought her character should go out, Walsh had a very specific idea. A very specific and very dark idea.
"I kind of want to go out in a blaze of glory, like literally," she said. "Run out of a building on fire completely. Something hugely dramatic, but I don't know if that's going to happen."
Probably not. In fact, things seem to be building toward a happy ending for Dr. Addison Montgomery. Just last week, she and Jake became engaged to be married.
She also threw out the possiblity of Addison choking on a chicken bone, which O'Brien gleefully added to her running-on-fire scenario. No matter how it ends, the final days of "Private Practice" are here.
Catch Kate Walsh and "Private Practice" on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC. The series will wrap its run in early 2013. "Conan" airs every weeknight at 11 p.m. ET on TBS.
