Lindsay Lohan's performance in "Liz & Dick" left some people, like critics, a bit underwhelmed, she did gain the approval of at least one very important person. The made-for-TV biopic got a glowing review from her pal, Lady Gaga.
"you did a beautiful job on Liz & Dick, Let no one bring u down, Liz didnt, they always try to knock the greats down a few pegs," the Mother Monster wrote on Twitter on Monday after the film premiered on Lifetime Sunday night.

Lohan's response? "thank you so much!" she tweeted back. "You are such an incredible force and that means the world to me :) love & hugs xo hope to see you soon bella.
It may seem a bit random that Gaga is sending Lohan some viral love, but the accolade doesn't come out of nowhere. The twosome once partied together at the Chateau Marmont and there had even been rumors that Lohan could make an appearance in a future Gaga music video.
Until then, fans will have to settle on watching Lohan play screen legend Elizabeth Taylor in the small screen biopic. And, whether you loved or hated her performance, in a recent interview with Us Weekly, the actress opened up about why she felt now was the right time to tackle playing someone was iconic as Taylor.
Do you agree with Lady Gaga's Review?
She said, "Everything I've gone through made me ready to play Liz." And despite some of their personal similarities, she insists that unlike Taylor, she's never been naughty on a film set. "Elizabeth was drunk on sets. I've never been drunk on set, ever," she added. "I did my time and I respect the law."
And while both Lohan and Taylor made names for themselves as actresses and tabloid queens, Lohan says despite appearances she's not really into that kind of attention. "Since I was a kid, I've loved being on camera. Don't misconstrue that: I didn't strive to have flashbulbs at dinner or people who don't know me calling TMZ. And 99 percent of the time, it's not true," she tells the magazine. "I feel bullied. I can't think of any actor who has been subjected to such extreme publicity who hasn't, like, committed suicide."
Given the spotlight the film and Lohan have been under as of late, does she think Taylor would have any sage advice for her if she were still alive today? "She probably would have said, 'Figure it the hell out,' " Lohan said. "You have to learn it for yourself sometimes."
