The guys of One Direction are getting their Vogue on ahead of their "Little Things" video release on Friday. The boys will appear in the U.K. version of the fashion bible and opened up about their November 13 album release, Take Me Home.

"We want to gradually get more and more 'live' sounding. So this album is a lot less little synth sounds, more guitars and drums," Harry Styles teased in the issue, out in December. "It's important to experiment with things — we want to move with the times, but keep true to ourselves."

The guys have already got their fans dancing with the album's lively lead single, "Live While We're Young," and now they have them swooning with its second single release, the Ed Sheeran-penned ballad, "Little Things." The latter definitely shows the more acoustic side of the album.

Since becoming celebrities as contestants on the U.K. version of "X Factor," the guys have certainly become international pop superstars in the past two years. And, with that fame come lots and lots of devoted fans.

"I love it. I love the screaming," Niall Horan told the fashion magazine of their dedicated fans. "They love it, too: they've all got their tickets and they've been waiting a year or so to see you, so you've got to give it your best."

"You're never going to get used to walking into a room and have people screaming at you. There's a lot of things that come with the life you could get lost in," Harry added. "But you have to let it be what it is. I've learnt not to take everything too seriously."

And, since their days on the reality show, Styles and the crew have not only become uber-famous, but also a bit of fashion icons thanks to their tailored suits and signature manes. "I like fashion. When I look back at the kind of stuff I wore on the 'X Factor,' I laugh," the floppy-haired Styles said, "There's no excuse."

Liam Payne recalls early conversations he had behind-the-scenes about his ever-changing hairstyles.

"At the start, management said I wasn't allowed to change my hair. But then I did it anyway, so they kind of let that one go," he said. (Currently he's rocking a buzz cut.) "I tend to change my hair quite a lot. I can go out and about. The other day I went out dressed as a big chav — Adidas trainers, jogging bottoms — and no one recognized me."

Were their "X Factor" outfits really that bad? Let us know what you think in the comments!
