Another "Jersey Shore" star is set to make her way down the aisle. On Wednesday (September 26), Jenni "JWoww" Farley and her boyfriend of two and a half years, Roger Mathews, revealed to In Touch magazine that they are engaged.
Mathews, whom Jenni describes as the "perfect guy," proposed on September 14 during a skydiving session. Mathews spent months with jeweler Layna Friedman to create JWoww's 5-carat cushion-cut diamond ring that is surrounded by 2.5 carats of pink and white diamonds in a white-gold setting.
"It's more than I ever expected," Jenni tells the magazine. "Roger's not an average-looking guy, he's huge: his personality, his size [6'4"]. So I always said, 'I want my ring like you — big! The bigger the better!'"
The couple began dating during season three of "Jersey Shore" after Mathews asked her to be his girlfriend at a club in Seaside. Their relationship remained strong during the filming of season four, which had the housemates traveling to Florence, Italy.
"It was actually the easiest I ever thought it was going to be," JWoww told MTV News in September of 2011. "My ex made me feel like I never wanted to go film, so I was kind of dreading that, and Roger was like, 'Dude, I want you to have a blast, go have fun, this is your twenties, you need to go do this. I'm not going to keep you from doing this. I want you to.' Because he traveled Europe in his twenties, so getting over there, it was so easy."
JWoww and Mathews' relationship continued as she headed back to Seaside, but viewers were able to get an inside look at their relationship during the first season of "Snooki & JWoww," which often featured the couple battling it out in heated arguments, which, according to Jenni, is why they are the perfect match.
"Me and him are hotheads. We go from zero to 60, and he's the first boyfriend that I've ever had that won't back down ... Roger's like, 'You're out of your mind,' " JWoww told MTV News back in June.
Congratulations have already begun pouring in for the happy couple, and the first person sending her best wishes was, of course, her best friend Snooki. "@JENNIWOWW CONGRATS on the engagement boo!," Snooki tweeted. "Love you so much"
JWoww admitted to In Touch that Snooki, who will either be a bridesmaid or maid of honor in the wedding, was in fact the first person she called with the exciting news.
"If there's anyone in this world that wanted me to be engaged more than me, it'd be Nicole," Jenni ssaid.
While fellow bride-to-be Snooki told MTV News recently that she doesn't want to walk down the aisle "anytime soon," JWoww might already have her dream wedding planned out.
"I want a traditional and nontraditional in the same sense," JWoww told Celebuzz in July. "I want a destination wedding, but it's in Vegas. So, I want it to be a traditional ceremony. I want a huge hotel, beautiful atmosphere, but I want an insane, Vegas-style reception, want an insane afterparty that leads us to another afterparty that leads into, like, a rehab pool party."
