What do a boy wizard, a boy band and a number of other young A-list Brits have in common? Well, according to Heat magazine, they all happen to be some of the wealthiest entertainers in the U.K. under 30.
The British publication rounded up some of the biggest names in movies and music, and in the end, "Harry Potter" himself, Daniel Radcliffe, tops the list once again, having a fortune estimated at $85 million. "Twilight" stud Robert Pattinson is also at the top of the list, trailing Radcliffe to place at #2, thanks to an estimated $62 million. He previously placed on the list at #3.
Filling out the top five is Keira Knightley (with $52 million) and Emma Watson (with $42.4 million) as well as One Direction. The fivesome made their debut this year at #5, thanks to having made an impressive $42 million. The guys make the list just weeks before they are slated to drop their highly anticipated sophomore album release, Take Me Home, on November 13.
"In these financially tough times it's good to know that at least somebody is rolling around on carpets woven from gold-plated £50 notes — which is why Heat is delighted to reveal our annual countdown of the richest British celebs under the age of 30," the magazine's editor, Lucie Cave, said in a statement. "One Direction will be thrilled to hear that they've burst into Heat's Rich List as the highest new entry at number five. Like any pop stars they'll be after the number one spot, of course, but if they keep going the way they have been, that might be a reality in 2013."
New mom and "Skyfall" singer Adele, who reportedly gave birth to her first child last week, nabs the #6 spot having earned $41.6 million, according to the magazine. Rupert Grint is the third "Harry Potter" star in the top 10, sitting at #7, having amassed $37.5 million. Leona Lewis ( with $22 million), Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole (with $21 million) and performer Katie Melua (with $18 million) sit at #8, #9 and #10 respectively.
