Carly Rae Jepsen goes rolling with her homies in her brand-new video for "This Kiss." While the track recalls the synthy, bubble-gum pop of the 1980s, parts of the video certainly hark back to the 1990s, thanks to one of the singer's key fashion choices and some of the party games played at the fete.

The video follows Jepsen as she arrives at a bash that looks somewhat like the warehouse raves so prevalent of that bygone era (think No Doubt's "New" video from 1999 or the one Dawson Leery and the crew hit up on "Dawson's Creek"), filled with twenty-somethings just looking to dance, and probably kiss, the night away. In between flirting with a cute guy and his pal (the latter is played by "Fun Size" actor Thomas McDonell), the singer also takes the stage rocking a chain-wallet and a big smile.

While the fluffy '80s-esque party dresses pay homage to the decade that birthed the sound of the track (which was written in part by Party Rocker RedFoo), there are some fun-loving nods to the following decade that really stand out.

From Jepsen's chain wallet to a feisty game of suck and blow (as seen in the 90's teen flick "Clueless" and most recently in Solange's "Losing You" video), the clip takes place in the new millennium but finds the parties of days gone by as the perfect inspiration to have a good time to.

And, as the video comes to a close, there's certainly one scene that would leave director Baz Luhrmann excited. Finally ready for her kiss with her party crush, the twosome take a dive in a pool and go for it, a visual that looks very similar to the one from Luhrmann's 1996 retelling of the Shakespearian tragedy, "Romeo + Juliet."
