Adele's sweeping, theatrical and moody theme for "Skyfall" has leaked Thursday (October 4), ahead of its official Friday release.

Adele's vocals are dangerous and sexy, as the orchestra peaks and swells behind her. The song certainly has a classic, hazy Bond vibe to it, as the diva proclaims, "This is the end/ Hold your breath and count to 10/ Feel the earth move and then/ Feel my heart burst again." The experience will leave the listener more stirred than shaken as every Adele's voice glides over deep cellos and a haunting choir.

Much like the famed spy, Adele's Bond Girl is a pretty mysterious creature. She sings, "Skyfall is where we start/ A thousand miles and both apart/ When worlds collide and things are dark/ You may have my number/ You can take my name/ But you'll never have my heart."

As the song reaches its end, Adele's voice climbs and soars over the wall of sound. And then, the music drops out in a big jazzy fashion with the singer holding one last note.

It was originally slated to drop at 0:07 London time (which in U.S. time is at 7:07 p.m. ET) on October 5. However, a French radio station let it out of the bag a little early. Earlier this week, fans were treated to a snippet of the song, which was recorded at the famed Abbey Road studio in London. On it, the singer gets an assist from producer Paul Epworth and a 77-piece orchestra.

"I was a little hesitant at first to be involved with the theme song ... there's a lot of instant spotlight and pressure when it comes to a 'Bond' song. But I fell in love with the script and Paul had some great ideas for the track, and it ended up being a bit of a no-brainer," Adele said in a statement on Monday. "When we recorded the strings, it was one of the proudest moments of my life. I'll be back combing my hair when I'm 60 telling people I was a Bond girl back in the day."

In an interview with the BBC, Epworth chatted about the track, noting that "Adele's performance is really jaw-dropping."

"The initial chords happened quite quickly, but we spent a few months shaping it, tweaking it," he continued. "A song like this has to have a gravity and dynamic rather than [be] an instant pop song. Hopefully it's got lasting value."

For fans wanting to celebrate all things Bond ahead of the November 9 opening of the Daniel Craig-starring "Skyfall," October 5 marks the 50th anniversary of the release of the first Bond film, "Dr. No." It will be known as "Global James Bond Day."
