Get ready to swoon, Directioners. The boys of One Direction have just released their brand-new ballad, "Little Things," off their November 13 album release, Take Me Home. And, the acoustic slow jam is all about the, well, little things that have them falling for that special girl.
Penned by Ed Sheeran (who also worked with the guys on their debut album, Up All Night), the track is driven by a slow, sweet melody, as the guys gush about this special girl with lines like, "Your hand fits in mine/ Like it's made just for me/ But bear this in mind/ It was meant to be."
The boys go on to note that no matter how much she hates her little flaws and quirks, they are the bits about her that have made her so irresistible. "I won't let these little things slip out of my mouth/ But if I do/ It's you (oh, it's you)/ They add up to/ I'm in love with you/ And all these little things."
The track is one of two Sheeran contributed to the boys' upcoming release, Take Me Home. "It was written about the best things about someone, kind of like the things you wouldn't expect," he told MTV News last month. "You'll have to hear it. I can't really say too much 'cause it's their album. I want them to be the first ones to announce it and stuff."
The track is the group's second off Take Me Home, a follow-up to the upbeat "Live While We're Young." A video has been shot for the single, but it has not been confirmed for a stateside release. For now, it remains a U.K.-only release.
