For the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards, one of Germany's shiniest stars has been enlisted to host the show, supermodel Heidi Klum. The model and TV personality will be on hand to emcee the big night when it all goes down on Sunday, November 11.
Taylor Swift and Rihanna are the two most nominated performers of the night with five and six nods each, respectively. Swift and Rihanna will battle against each other for EMA supremacy in three categories: Best Female, Best Pop and Best Look. Each of the ladies just graced the VMA stage earlier this month with eye-popping performances.
Justin Bieber and Katy Perry (who has hosted the show twice before) are up for four prizes at the big show. Meanwhile, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Lana Del Rey, Carly Rae Jepsen and Fun. will all see if they can take home one of the three awards they are each up for.
The show will air in the U.S. on MTV2 at 11 p.m. ET/PT on Sunday, November 11. It all goes down in Frankfurt, Germany, at the Festhalle. Fans can get in on the action beginning Monday (September 17) by voting in all EMA categories online at MTVEMA.com or m.mtvema.com on their mobile phones. Voting for EMA categories is open from now until 11:59 p.m. CT on Friday, November 9.
