Adam Levine has a new TV gig. In addition to his role as a judge on "The Voice," his band, Maroon 5, has been announced as the first act to perform at "The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!!"
Maroon 5 will join longtime host LL Cool J when the show goes live on Wednesday, December 5, according to The Hollywood Reporter. LL Cool J has hosted the nominations show several times in the past, and in 2011 even stepped into the bigger role of hosting the proper Grammy Awards.
Maroon 5 has been nominated for nine Grammy Awards (including one as recently as 2012 for their Christina Aguilera duet, "Moves Like Jagger") and have won three for Best New Artist (2005), Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals (2006) and the same award again in 2007.
The concert will air on CBS from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville — a change from last year's venue in Los Angeles.
The show serves as not only a concert and celebration of what's been popping in music, which has been headlined by A-listers like Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, Lupe Fiasco and Katy Perry (and that was just last year), but it is also the night that the nominations for the Grammy Awards are announced. The big show is set to kick off on Sunday, February 10. Additional acts for the 2012 special are expected to be released as the show approaches.
