Snoop Dogg's transformation into Snoop Lion still baffles some fans, but his peers have come to terms with the new persona. His fellow West Coast MC Kurupt proved that on Wednesday's (October 17) episode of "RapFix Live" when he explained that Snoop was simply taking his fans on a new journey with him.

"It's all Snoop," Kurupt responded when asked if he was feeling the latest reincarnation of the man who broke through with classic '90s tracks like "Gin and Juice." "We're men first and Snoop elevates, and every time he elevates, he gives us an opportunity to be a part of that elevation through his music.

"He had a very spiritual [and] uplifting [experience] when he went to Jamaica, and he's expressing it through his music, and you've gotta support that," Kurupt continued, referencing Snoop's transformation into a dreadlocked reggae rapper. "I love Snoop and where he is right now. I think that he's a lot more calm about himself and things that he does, but it's all still Snoop."

Kurupt, who's prepping his new mixtape, Money, Bitches, Power, for release November 7 — led by the single "Money (Do It for Me)" featuring RBX — says he's rolling with the changing tide of music.

"The music changes all the time, so I adapted to change," he said. "I'm gonna change with the music and still give it some of the original Kurupt. I'mma mix it all up like gumbo. You got so many people involved [in music], and there's so many other things they can be doing with their lives, but they're living their lives to the fullest and expressing it through music. That's what we made it for, and that's what the people before us made it for. It's an expression, that's all music is. To see hip-hop step out the box of the normal fanbase it's supposed to get, and see it elevate to these other levels, I love it."

In addition to his mixtape Money, Bitches, Power, Kurupt is also working on a solo LP and another album from Tha Dogg Pound.
