'If people wanna buy your album, they're gonna buy your album whether it's gonna leak or not,' Meek tells 'RapFix Live.' By Rob Markman

Meek Mill's Dreams & Nightmares is already shaping up to be a special release, but the Maybach Music Group MC isn't so special that he can avoid the dreaded album leak. The Philadelphia spitter saw his debut LP hit the Internet just hours before he walked on to "RapFix Live" on Wednesday (October 24), but he isn't sweating it.

"I ain't tripping. If people wanna buy your album, they're gonna buy your album whether it's gonna leak or not," Meek told "RapFix" host Sway Calloway in response to hitting the speed bump that almost every artist goes through these days.

The "I'ma Boss" rapper believes in his flock. After all, they've brought him this far with no letdown. During this past weekend, Meek performed for a homecoming event at Howard University in Washington, D.C. His set came after 2 Chainz and Drake and just as a rainstorm began to break out at the outdoor event. It was an opportune time for fickle fans to run for cover, but instead, the entire crowd braved the storm to rock out with the MMG MC.

"They would've left when the first drops started hitting, [but] they stayed to see the show, and I'm thinking, 'Damn, 2 Chainz and Drake just got offstage and it's drizzling out here.' You know, your chances are bad," Meek recalled.

Moments like that give Meek faith that fans will show up to stores when Dreams & Nightmares drops next Tuesday. The long-player is anchored by singles like the Drake-assisted "Amen" and Milly's latest single "Young & Gettin' It" with Kirko Bangz. Meek also got help from his Maybach cohorts Rick Ross and Wale, as well as veteran hitmakers like Mary J. Blige and Nas.

"If you were going buy the original, you were always gonna buy the original," he said, believing that fans have already made up their minds. "If you were gonna bootleg it, you were gonna bootleg it — period."
