For all of you Quentin Tarantino enthusiasts out there, your Wednesday (October 10) just got a whole lot more exciting, thanks to the release of a brand-new "Django Unchained" trailer.

The second trailer for the highly anticipated "bloody Southern" treads lightly upon familiar territory visited in the first sneak peek, like our introduction to long-suffering slave Django (Jamie Foxx) and the bounty hunter Dr. King Schulz (Christoph Waltz), who enlists his help to track down the murderous Brittle brothers.

WATCH THE TRAILER.

The new and most exciting aspects of the two-minute preview is that we get a whole lot more Leonardo DiCaprio chewing up scenery — in the best possible way — as arrogant slave owner Calvin Candie. We could tell DiCaprio was enjoying himself in this first all-out villainous role in the original trailer, but he is delightfully entertaining in showing off his bravado, lush lifestyle and thin explanation for his ownership of slaves in the new footage.

Other new scenes include more of Django's backstory with his wife (Kerry Washington) before she was sold into slavery, as well as the first glimpse of Jonah Hill riding a horse as part of the Brittle brothers and frequent Tarantino collaborator Samuel L. Jackson, who's sporting white hair and an elder-statesman vibe as one of Candie's in-house confidantes.

Finally, in addition to a few intriguing character intros, Tarantino concludes things as only he knows how: He sends us out with an almost literal bang. The last half of the trailer is full of explosions, gun-slinging and all kinds of action.

"Django Unchained" opens everywhere Christmas Day.
