The celebrity endorsements are steadily pouring in for President Barack Obama's re-election. Earlier this week, Katy Perry performed at a rally for the POTUS in the battleground state of Nevada. On Friday (October 26), Ne-Yo, along with Herbie Hancock, Johnny Rzeznik (Goo Goo Dolls), Delta Rae and Natasha Bedingfield, released a music video called "Forward," as part of the Forward Song Project, a "100 percent grassroots effort."

According to the site, the project represents the best of what American democracy is all about: people voluntarily coming together and lending their time, talents, services and support behind a cause they truly feel passionate about.

The black and white video runs for four minutes. It begins with a shot of Obama with his words playing in the background: "I have never been more hopeful about America"

That image is followed by a visual collage of patriotic images of U.S. citizens joining hands and moving "forward" together. A knit-capped Ne-Yo is seen crooning the Obama campaign's "Forward" credo in the studio booth, followed by his co-stars each singing alone in a different studio setting. The enduring theme of the video is to implore the masses to get out and vote for President Obama to afford the POTUS and his supporters the opportunity to "finish what we started...together." For the song's chorus, writers Gregg Alexander, Danielle Brisebois, Fred Goldring and Nick Lashley kept it simple: "Forward, we need to make our way/ Forward, each and every day/ Forward, you need to vote and say, 'Keep us moving forward.' "

The video ends with a crowd cheering "Obama" and a one-word message in red letters: VOTE.
